Hell Creek Accommodations
Some fishermen who boat out of Hell Creek stay in motels. Others camp. Some cook their own meals. Others use restaurants. It’s all a matter of planning ahead what you’d like to do when you visit the area.
Hell Creek State Park offers running water, flush toilets, shower facilities, a fish cleaning station, kids play area and an RV dump station. There are RV plug-ins for electricity. There is also an electrical outlet at the fishing cleaning station so you can plug in your electric fillet knife.
There are some rooms available right at the Hell Creek Marina but call well in advance to reserve them because they’re often full during the peak walleye times. You can reach Clint and Debi Thomas at the marina (406-557-2345). There are two places with rooms in Jordan, the Garfield Motel (406-557-6215) or Fellman’s Motel (406-557-2209).
In Jordan, there’s the Hilltop Cafe, where you can get a meal. There is also food served at the Hell Creek Bar and Ranchers Bar and Cafe where you can also get a drink much stronger than a milkshake. Food, beverages and ice for your camp are also available at Ryan’s Grocery, in Jordan.
Gasoline is available at the Cenex, Jordan or at dockside at the Hell Creek Marina.
